Fair questions, straight answers.
If something here isn’t clear, that’s a problem with the answer. Ask and we’ll fix it.
It doesn’t. There is no revenue model here — no ads, no purchases, no subscriptions, no data to sell. Honest Arcade is a community project that runs on contributions, whether that is money toward the store fees and tooling, code, testing, or simply telling us what to build. That is what lets these apps exist for everyone, for free.
Out of pocket, for now. These are small apps built by a small team who wanted them to exist. If we ever charge for something, it will be a single price shown plainly before you install — never a subscription, and never an existing free app taken away.
Yes. Free to install, free to keep, with every feature included. There is no premium tier, no coins, and nothing behind a paywall.
It means the code behind each app is published where anyone can read it. You do not have to — but developers, journalists and curious people can confirm there is no tracking or advertising in it. Claims that can be checked are worth more than claims that can only be repeated.
Every app in the arcade today works fully offline. Each app page says so explicitly, and if a future app ever needs a connection, its page will say what it sends and why.
The apps collect nothing at all. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting that follows you, no profile. Scores and settings are stored on your own device and are deleted when you uninstall. This website stores something only if you choose to sign in or use the contact form — the privacy policy sets out exactly what.
There is nothing in them aimed at your child: no ads, no purchases, no chat, no links out, no notifications trying to pull them back in. Hand the phone over without supervising a store.
Only to keep votes honest — one Google account, one vote. Signing in tells us your email address and nothing more; we do not read your contacts, your calendar or anything else. You never need an account to browse the site or to use any app, and we do not send marketing.
On GitHub, in the app’s issue tracker, where it can be tracked and fixed. The request lists on this site are for new features and new app ideas.
Yes — vote on requests, tell us what is missing, or open a pull request. Translations and accessibility fixes are especially welcome.
